Module reviews - Find out what our MSE community have to say about the modules!
NOTE:
Minimum workload is 18MC.
In Select Modules R1 and R2, you will have a total of 23MC available.
In R3, the cap increase to 25MC.
The maximum is 25MC for single major FOE students.
Please follow the recommended schedule as closely as possible to avoid clashes or risk of modules not being offered in the semester you intended to take.
For MSE freshmen, Y1S1 is typically 20MCs and there is little chance of successful overloading appeal. In Y1S2 you can take max 25MC, beyond that you can try appeal for overloading but there is little chance too unless your CAP is super duper good (got CAP 3.80 in Y1S1 but could not appeal to overload beyond 25MCs in Sem 2). From Y2 onwards there will be a higher chance of successful appeal to overload.
If you are planning to overload beyond 25MCs (for single major), DO NOT appeal in EduRec as it will be directed to the Dean's office (which might not be attended to due to the many queries they receive everyday). DO email Ms Karen Ho ([email protected]) with the following details:
1. Matric number
2. Number of MCs required
3. Modules taking
4. Reason for overloading/underloading
5. CAP
After successful appeal, you will only see the MCs in round 3
